Google Drive and Google Docs are an incredibly useful tool for teachers and students to use. It is a free web-based office suite. You can access this quickly by using the MyApps log in.

Google Drive

is 鶹ý’s preferred tool for storing and sharing documents.  Your Google Drive lives in the “cloud,” or in other words, in Google’s data center, which means you can access from anywhere with your my鶹ý email and password.  Cloud storage is a method of storing digital data in off-site (remote) servers and allows users to access their files from anywhere they have an internet connection.

When logged into Google Drive you can access the following Google Apps:

  • Google Drive
  • Google Docs
  • Google Sheets
  • Google Slides

Google Docs

is a free, web-based application that allows users to produce, manage, and save documents through their Gmail accounts; all 鶹ý students have access to Google Docs you can access from anywhere with your my鶹ý email and password.  The application has many useful features: documents save automatically so that work is never lost; documents can be shared with others so that multiple people can review and edit at the same time; and documents are available both online and offline.

Step 1: Activate Your my鶹ý Account

  • Go to
  • Follow the instructions on the screen. 

Step 2: Access your student email

  • Your student email address is created when you activate your account.

Step 3: Access Google Drive and Google Tools

  • Go to  
  • Sign in using your student email and the password created in my鶹ý.

Many of the forms on the 鶹ý website are for students only. Below are steps on how to access those forms. 

Step 1: Check Your Google Account

  1. Open or  using Chrome.
  2. Look at the profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Make sure you are signed in with your 鶹ý student email (@students.highline.edu).
  4. If you are using a personal Gmail, you must switch to your 鶹ý email.

Step 2: How to Switch to Your 鶹ý Email

  1. Click on your profile picture (top-right corner).
  2. Click 'Add another account' or choose your 鶹ý email.
  3. Log in with your 鶹ý student email and password.

Step 3: Refresh & Open the Form

  1. Once you are signed in with your 鶹ý email, go back to the Form link.
  2. Click the refresh button on your browser.
  3. Try opening the form again.
